Took the dogs down lynx road today, Looks like it came up with the last high tide, No major injuries visible so not sure how it met its end. Contacted cefas and was told to hang on a second while I find you the contact no you require, After a couple of minutes on hold and no answer that was enough for me.
Picture taken on my phone hence not great.

They look "cute" but people get all disneyfied by animals , when in Mexico on holiday a couple of years back I was snorkelling when a bloody big turtle came up behind me and gave me a crunching bite on my arm, never saw him coming and its hard to scream and swear when your under water ! When I got out and was looking for a boulder to throw at the bastard everyone stoped me saying how nice they are surfing on the Australian tide stream and saving little fish and crap ,well if I ever see one in these waters I make soup out of him ,lol

Though I could never condone such a heartless thing Chris, I think we're free that night - I take it you're serving from the large shell into our bowls?

They used to keep turtle on board sailing ships for fresh meat I read once, just stacked them up, probably the same for the old Dodo.
