Know anybody that lives here. Nope but I've been there The naval airfield at Twatt was unsurprisingly known as RNAS Hatston or HMS Sparrowhawk rather than RNAS Twatt. This lead to my favourite ever museum photograph caption , which I saw in the 1990s at an exhibition of wartime pics in Stromness museum. The picture showed a young pilot in the cockpit of his fighter plane. The caption read "Lt XXXXX in the cockpit of his Grumman Martlet at Hatston (Twatt)" .
